What are email flows?

By default Revshare sends affiliates a short standard email when they are approved for or denied from your program. Email flows let you replace that with your own message and add follow-ups on a delay — for example a welcome email with the referral link on day 0 and promotion tips on day 3.

Open a program, choose Email flows from the ⋯ menu next to Edit, write your steps and save. Flows are set per program.

Triggers

  • Affiliate approved — fires when an affiliate joins a program with auto-approval on, or when you approve an application. Replaces the default approval email.
  • Application received — fires when an application is waiting for your review. Revshare sends nothing to the affiliate by default here.
  • Application denied — fires when you deny an application. Replaces the default denial email.

Steps and delays

Each trigger can have up to five steps. The first step is always sent immediately; each later step has its own delay in days (1–90). Delayed steps are cancelled automatically if the affiliate is suspended or removed, if you turn the flow off, or if you delete the step before it is due.

Turning a flow off restores Revshare's standard email for that trigger. A trigger with no steps sends nothing.

Personalization

Use these placeholders in a subject or message:

  • {{affiliate_name}} — the affiliate's name
  • {{program_name}} — your program name
  • {{affiliate_link}} — the affiliate's referral link
  • {{ref_code}} — the affiliate's referral code
  • {{program_url}} — the program page in the affiliate portal
  • {{company_name}} — your company name

How emails are sent

Emails are sent from Revshare's no-reply address with your account email as reply-to, so affiliates who answer reach you directly. Follow-ups are sent once an hour when they fall due. Affiliates who have turned off approval or denial emails in their own settings will not receive the matching flow.
