What Are Events?
Events are the actions that happen when visitors interact with your affiliate links. Revshare tracks three main types of events: clicks, leads, and sales.
Event Types
- Clicks: When someone clicks an affiliate link, short link, or dynamic link. This is the first step in the conversion funnel.
- Leads: When a visitor signs up, creates an account, or submits a form. This indicates interest and intent.
- Sales: When a lead converts into a paying customer. This is what generates affiliate commissions.
Viewing Events
The Events page shows a real-time feed of all activity across your programs. You can filter by:
- Program: See events for a specific affiliate program
- Affiliate: Filter by a specific affiliate's activity
- Event Type: Show only clicks, leads, or sales
- Date Range: View events from the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or all time
Event Details
Each event includes detailed information:
- Date & Time: When the event occurred
- Link: Which link was clicked or used
- Referrer: Where the visitor came from
- Country & Device: Geographic and device information for clicks
- Amount: Revenue amount for sales
